Surprise Acts' delight guests at June Laffta Fest
The fourth edition of Glo Laffta Fest held on Sunday, June 7, turned out to be a mix of funfair, excitement and pleasant surprise.
Subscribers and guests were as usual treated to star performances by popular comedians Basketmouth, Okey Bakassi, Seyi Law, Klint da Drunk, I go Dye and Gordons.
Top musicians such as P-Square, Stereoman and fast-rising duo Bracket of Yori Yori fame also entertained guests at the show and ensured there was no single dull moment.
However, the most exciting part of the show for many present was the appearances of fast-rising musicians, El Dee and Terry G, and comedian Simcard as "surprise acts" of the evening.
Guests had come expecting performances by just the advertised artistes but the appearance of the two musicians and the Warri comedian added a whole new exciting dimension to the show. El Dee and Terry G took the audience on a musical ride with many taking to the dance floor. While El Dee excited the gathering with his mastery of stagecraft and lyrical blend, Terry G brought sent them into a frenzy with his vivacious performance.
Simcard on his part spiced up the laughter sessions churning out his rib-cracking jokes. By the time he left the stage, many were clutching their ribs.
Among those who attended the show were Mrs Oladunni Ogunbanwo who represented the wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs Abimbola Fashola; the Director General of Nigeria Insurers Association, Mr. Ezekiel Chiejina, and the Head of Consumer Banking of Bank PHB, Chris Ehimen.
